Youth Challenge of CT Graduates 10 Men and Women Youth Challenge of CT helds its 31st annual graduation banquet on Saturday, October 17th, 2009, at the Plainfield Town Hall in Plainfield, Connecticut. Dr. Rodney Hart, Executive Director of Teen CHallenge of New England was the guest speaker. He challenged the graduates and the Youth Challenge Alumni to move the vision that was set forth by our Founder and visionary, Bishop Raúl González, forward. He reminded them that they can not forget what the ministry did for them and their families. Now it's their turn to continue moving forward and ensuring that the ministry becomes bigger and better. Ten students received their 18 month graduation diploma. These included nine men from the Men's Ministry and one woman from the Women's Ministry. An additional six students were recognized for completion of one year of training in ministry. Plainfield's First Selectman, Paul Sweet, presented Y.C. of CT a proclamation designating October 17th as Youth Challenge Day in Plainfield in honor of the work the ministry has been doing to rescue the downtrodden and the lost in Connecticut and the Moosup/Plainfield area. Our Founder and visionary, Bishop González, was honored by the combined Men and Women's choir as they dedicated a song titled "Thank You" by Ray Boltz. The choir specifically made mention of Bishop Raúl's and Lady Willie González's undying effort to raise up the Youth Challenge Ministry of Connecticut.
