Dear Friends,
Greetings in Christ Jesus.
We want to thank you for supporting our 33rd anniversary (the Annual Alumni
Homecoming Benefit Banquet). Let me tell you it was a g reat success!
Over 100 alumni (graduates), families, and friends were present, as they
sang and gave testimony of the delivering power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Nicky Cruz brought a timely and encouraging word. The prayer made by him
and the other pastors and ministers for the alumni was awesome!
As you well know, drug addiction, especially heroin and crack cocaine,
has baffled the greatest scientific minds in our country and the medical
profession has come up with no genuine answers to this monstrous problem.
Yet our Lord Jesus Christ tells us, "Come to me, all you who are weary
and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28, NIV) And that's
the answer, to rest in Him, Christ, for He is able to keep us in perfect
peace because our minds are
stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3).
As I look back through the years, God has brought us a long, long way.
His promise of supplying every one of our needs has become a reality at
Youth Challenge.
Again, thank you for your financial support on a monthly basis. Without
you it would be impossible to go on doing this great work. On behalf of
the men, women and families that have been helped and are being helped,
the staff and the Board of Directors say, "Thank you". Remember always,
we covet your prayers. Let us go on to our 34th year. The victory is ours!
With much love In His service,
Raúl González, D.
