What's happening at Youth Challenge...

Youth Challenge Contributions Night
Youth Challenge held its annual contributions night Friday, November 23, 2012. Many  came to support this wonderful ministry of restoration. Youth Challenge alumni, alumni seed (children of YC alumni) and faithful supporters came to Glory Chapel International Cathedral to show their support by bringing needed supplies.  In addition, many of the alumni, alumni seed and their families presented a number of vignettes which demonstrated their great fulness for the new life they have because of Youth Challenge's commitment to "Help the Hurting". 

Youth Challenge Volunteer Day

December 1, 2012 was Community Day at Youth Challenge. We had over 50 volunteers of all age groups working  together at our properties in Hartford.  The day was a huge success. We could not have accomplished so much without all the support and collaboration of all the volunteers .  We are truly grateful!  On behalf of the students, staff and board of directors of Youth Challenge, we want to thank all the volunteers from Urban Alliance, Valley Community Baptist Church, and Glory Chapel International Cathedral for their hard work.  We accomplished much. We painted, fixed door hinges, cleaned out our garage and prepared our annual Christ Day Card mailing. We could not have accomplished all that we needed to do without all the helping hands.  May the Lord bless all those who came and answered the call to help. Please enjoy the photos below:

Youth Challenge Soup Kitchen and Clothing Drive

Youth Challenge Alumni, Alumni Seed (children of YC Alumni) and faithful volunteers are feeding and distributing coats and clothing to the community at 5pm every 1st Thursday of the month at 19 May Street.  We are fulfilling our motto "Helping the Hurting"!  The YC Alumni and Alumni Seed give back to others, after so much was given to them, including their families, children, jobs and more!  To support this outreach, you can send a donation via mail to the address below or online by clicking here, donate food or clean and gently used clothing.  Please contact Pocho Velez at (860)728-5199 or email [email protected].
